I would maybe try mixing that particular food in with something really appealing to her and just leave it and see what she does. That is, unless you really like this particular behavior.... |
I only did this one time before when I first brought her home. She wouldn't eat because of being in new surroundings but that was almost two years ago. I've tried mixing the other flavor and she does better but than I have all these half empty cans in the frig

. Like I said it's only with the chicken and rice flavor she does this with.....no other flavors. I know she's not sick but I was just wondering on why is she starting this strange behavior now. Maybe it's because she's getting older....she will be 9 yrs old in July. I don't know but I don't mind feeding her in the evening like this but in the mornings, I don't have the time so I make sure not to feed her chicken and rice in the mornings. I just hope she doesn't start doing this with everything she eats. If she wasn't so darn picky, I would try some other brand of dog food......it took several brands just to find something she would eat consistenly. She has no problem with the 1 star food but the 5 star food.....she hates.
Maybe she takes after her momma......I don't eat anything that's good for me....all greasy food loaded with salt and butter.
I do know that when a cat I had years ago (before the one I have now) started picking up strange behaviors and she was older like almost 14 yrs old. Come to think of it so did my grandfather
