If they do thats another option for now. I only mention it because its much better then allowing her to have this first litter.
But I wouldnt allow her to have those puppies. The circumstance could be terrible. WIth her age, her hips are probably not wide enough to pass puppies easily, especially puppies that could be large. It would probably be a definite C section and if you dont move fast when they need a c section, you generally end up with puppies that dont make it. |
No they don't have the morning after pill for dogs.
I think you meant her pelvic area being wide enough to pass puppies.
To the OP you're thinking logical and with your girl's best interest. Whatever you decide, I hope it's not based on your boyfriends wishes.
You have been given excellent advice and the advice I agree with. However, if you make the decision of continue. Make sure you are willing to accept all that goes with this decision. Gain as much information you can, find a mentor, be prepared to give up 12 weeks of your life (yep, you will be tied down and your life will be completely devoted to this mom and her pups).
Make sure you have a heavy bank account available. If anything goes wrong, you'll need it.
I ask you one question; Are you prepared to lose your girl?
