Most will grow out of it. Some do not. My Corso was a nipper when he was a pup. It took him about 3 weeks to get the message that it was not tolerated. Now at 3 months old he was already 35 pounds and had Iron Jaws. I would not suggest you do to a Yorkie what I did to him .....
Our Yorkie would nip if the door bell rang. It took us a lot of rings and patience to stop her from charging and attacking your ankle. Fortunately, I got to ring the bell, and my wife had to deal with the wrath of Max. She still gets fired up when the bell rings., but no longer bits. Correct, praise, repeat. I never have trained with treats.... |
