There are certainly SOME tinies who are not healthy but "smaller yorkies" do not all have more health issues as you assert. Most live long happy healthy lives from birth. |
I think that when some people say breeding a 3 lb or under female is cruel, they dont always mean that the puppies are unhealthy. For me, I think that breeding a small mother like that is very cruel because there are sooo many more risks for her and the puppies. The puppies can be too big and become squished inside of her because she is so small. She might have trouble actually giving birth without a C-section if the puppies are bigger than expected. There are many more risks also. As I said before, IMO breeding a female that is 3 lb or under is animal cruelty. JMHO
