I have the copper one
Yes, my periods do come every month. You might get an extra day of ovaries dropping but thats it. No cramps or headaches, remember it does not contain any hormones.
You can go to the doctor and take it out whenever you please.
Every other contraceptive method because of the hormones made me feel like if I was pregnant (which is the point). I will get cramps, nausea headaches, ect. With this type of IUD no symptoms, cheaper than paying for pills every month or three when you add it up. I don't have to worry about getting pregnant in ten years

I have three kids, 1st one just used the old rubber, 2nd i was on the pill and 3rd I was on that shot. I'm very fertile so I know the IUD works.
You will probably cramp for the 1st couple of weeks but that's just your body saying there's an object in there. But it's not bad. Highly recommend it.
