I never thought about backing up my pics until three years ago. I got an ipod and I put all of my music CD's (over 200 of them) on my computer, and it was so much work that I knew I didn't want to lose all of that, as well as all of my photos. So I got an external back up drive, and I back up every night. Whenever I take digital photos, I transfer them to the computer for storage and erase the camera's digital card, then the photos get backed up to the external drive at night.
An external drive with tons of storage is cheap right now (<$100), so it is a very good investment because all computers crash sooner or later. |
Yes, I realize she doesn't have a clue as to what she did. And no, I can't stay mad at her.
But I was a little distracted because as I stated, my father in law's business was burning down right next door. I don't usually leave anything where she can get it.
As I also stated, I had all pictures backed up on an EDH (external hard drive) but that it had gone bad about a month ago. I bought another one, but just had not had time to use it.
