My mother in law always suggested to hold of the doggie food for a half a day or so and then slowly increase portions to let their stomachs settle - but at this time in her pregnancy I don't want to deprive her of anything she needs.
Please help, they stink, my little boy got poop in his hair right on his forehead (dont ask me how), I've been bathing them twice a day and they still have poo-butts, plus I don't want to aggravate my expecting mama and my house stinks like something awful - I've had ENOUGH poo for this week.
Oh - and both are getting plenty of water, I've been making sure that they get enough (when I boiled some chicken I added some of that water to theirs so that it tasted good - not sure if this is making it even worse! but at least they are drinking. |
You are right not to attempt to withold any food. I strongly suggest that you call your vet before attempting to administer andy anti-diarreah medication. Her condition is nothing to mess with. They may be obtaining plenty of liquids. But, diarreah is the fastest way a yorkie can get dehydrated. Wow! this has been going on for a week. Take her off food, and put her on Steamed chicken and rice.
