I was in the same spot you are in ... do I wait for those teeth to fall out, and risk first heat, or do I go ahead and get her spayed and get those stubborn teeth out of the way, too.
At around 5 1/2 months, all four adult canines surfaced and the baby teeth were still there. The lower adult teeth came in on the inside of the baby teeth, but the baby teeth did gradually loosen up and fall out, with the new adult teeth then moving into proper position.
It was the upper baby canines that were a problem. The adult teeth came in right in front of the baby teeth, and there was no crowding at all with the adult teeth growing in. The baby teeth weren't in the least bit loose, and there was nothing pushing on them or crowding them, so I finally decided that nothing was going to loosen them and they would have to be pulled, so no need to wait any longer on the spay.
She was spayed yesterday, and they pulled the teeth then. She will be 7 months old on Sunday. I think you can safely wait through 7 months, there is only a very slight risk that she could go into heat by then.
