There is no lowest weight or highest weight. Although, the Standards reads not to exceed 7 pounds. You are looking for the healthest dog that is a good representation of the breed.

Keep in mind an advice I give everyone of my potential clients: I don't care if you buy a dog from me. What I do care is that you make your choice doing all the research you can possibly do. Remember all puppies are cute. Buy from a reputable.

You buy your breeder first, then your puppy. It should be a relationship and the deal shouldn't end when you walk away with your puppy. Your breeder should be there for you for the rest of that puppy's life.
