Your vet can verify this info but here it is in a nutshell.
Vaccination against Leptospira interrogans is only available for the serovars called canicola, grippotyphosa, pomona and icterohaemorragiae. (Some vaccines cover all four serovars while others cover only two out of four.) In RI, the lepto vaccine given to my dogs covered all 4.

The vaccine does nothing to protect against the other strains of the bacteria.
Thanks so much for your help and info. I am VERY happy to say, my little man is perfectly fine after his rabies vax today and is playing happily in the yard as we speak! One more to go (bortadella) next week and we're done till he's a bigger boy and a year older....YAYYYYYYY!!!!!
