per our vet all yorkies and maltese should be bile acid tested as it is so prevalent in breed. I would do pre and post bile acid and full blood work up and urinalysis by free catch prior to anesthesia -this way kidneys and liver will be checked thoroughly to have the best out come under anesthesia and you will know if all is ok
