We just got back from camping and there was an "incident" in the state park
. I took toby on a walk and i was stopped by this man, he says "excuse me, what kind of dog is that?" so i stop to talk to him and i told him "This is a yorkie" and at this point his kids who look to be around 9 and 7 run over and plop themselves on the ground RIGHT next to toby and start touching him. The dad just ignored this all together, there was no conversation abotu whether my dog was ok with kids! Thank goodness he is wonderfull with kids, but the guy goes on to say that they owned a TEACUP yorkie (abut 2 lbs full grown) and that it was TERRIBLE with children, so, he started to argue with me about the fact that toby is pure bred! Toby is a big boy (13 lbs) and he was saying it couldnt possibly be true yorkie because he is too big and yorkies are not good with children (which mine is) so he cant POSSIBLY be a yorkie...
And then he started to get into "how much was he" (which i find an irritating question coming from someone who is arguiing with me) so i thought i would still be nice and said "500"... well he got this 'i told you so' look in his eye and said that it was too cheap to be a yorkie
i politily told him that plenty of yorkies come with various price tags..
as if this guy isnt irritating and stupid enough, he says " so if this guy got stolen how much could he be resold for?" What in the WORLD, i honestly think that he wanted to steal my dog! I was very careful with toby and i noticed themwalking by our camp an awful lot (out of the way for bathrooms, showers, or anything else since we were at the back).... These people are wierd
