Hi, and welcome to YorkieTalk, we have a whole forum on grooming, and I suggest you read the "Sticky's at the top of the page for some great overall grooming advice. Yorkie Grooming Talk - YorkieTalk.com Forums - Yorkshire Terrier Community. My best tip is to have a few cheerios handy when grooming, and in the early days, it's more important to have you dog get use to the different sounds and sights and feelings rather than creating a perfectly groomed dog. For example, I would turn the clippers on, without ever using them on him, and the next time I would turn them on and use the wrong side on him (the side without the blade) until just touching him with the clippers, didn't cause any squirming. My advice is to go slowly.
