The ticket prices were ridiculously low then. I once saw Jethro Tull at Audubon Zoo for $3.50. The most I've spent for a ticket was $95 to see the Eagles on the Hell Freezes Over tour. They were good but not worth that kind of money. I once drug my wife to see Tom Jones and had a blast. She really didn't want to go but now she loves him. Overall, the early 70's shows were the most mind-blowing.

I got into a few of the 90's bands...like Soundgarden, Collective Soul, Pearl Jam and The Black Crowes. My new band I'm into is Them Crooked Vultures. I also am getting into Conor Oberst. There is some good new stuff if you can wade through the crap being put out.

I also really like the old blues music with John Lee Hooker being my favorite...hands down. His 'Face To Face' and 'The Best of Friends' are some of his best stuff ever and were recorded when he was hitting 80. Also, his 'The Hot Spot' w/ Miles Davis is incredible.
ME TOO on the blues - Latimore - Johnny Taylor - Bobby Womac ...oh man I could go on and on but no one would know who I was talking about probably

I used to burn my own cd's and have so much variety too - mixes of funk - old school - rap - rock (a little) and blues - LOVE my collection !
