Although giardia can be transmitted to humans, it is not easy to catch. Make sure to clean eveyrthing she comes in contact with (toys, floors, etc) with a 10% bleach solution. Wash all bedding and blankets. Using disposable wipes after she goes, flushing them and then washing your hands is a very good practice. Do not keep disposable puppy pads after she has a BM - immediately get rid of them.

Sometimes it can take several weeks of treatment before you finally ger rid of giardia. If she is panting without exertion, this is usually a sign of pain. Could be she is having a reaction to the meds. Starting her on a daily probiotic will help keep her gut healthy as well. Good luck!!!!
