Yorkies are great companion pets, they all have their own unique personalities and need patient and time. As Mardelin said it is very importaant to begin with a reputable breeder who will place a healthy well bred puppy with you and be available for advice. I would recommend you pick up a yorkie book to understand the basics of their diet, grooming and training tips. I have three wonderful girls, all friendly and non nippers, one loves people and one can careless about people. They are all well socialized so they are not shy and good with other pets. One of them is high energy and requires a bit more excercise and longer walks. Actually my third is still a puppy and she gets car sick but I'm working through it. If you have any more questions just post. Have you found a breeder yet? Good luck and welcome!
