I really didn't care about size, and actually hopes she gets a little bigger... she is very short! The vet in our rural area is not very... uhm, how can I put it nicely. He is a very simple vet... he practices alot on large animals as I am in the country where horses and cows outnumber dogs and cats by thousands! I would love to be able to go to a more small animal oriented vet, but they are all so far. I am sure it could be done, but part of me just wants to let it be. I am not 100% sure yet - but I am scared of putting my baby under. I know that when my shih tzu was spayed in my old college town they performed blood tests... I know this may come off as a dumb question, but I was young back then and never asked what they were for.
I question your breeder's breeding practices of breeding tines. But, what's done is done.

You mentioned that has dropped weight, she's 6 months old, have had her tested for LS/Bile Acids?

At 2 pounds I don't think I'd advocate spaying either, unless it's by a qualified Toy Breed Specialists and is well versed in spaying tinies. Now there is some ramification of not spay, that being a remote possibility of mammary cancer, but pyrometria is what scares me the most. I can recommend vet that specializing in yorkies, but he's in Dallas.
