Thanks... Chloe's parents are small. Her mother was 3.5lbs and her daddy was 3lbs. The breeder did make sure I was not getting one of Boomer and Trixie's pups because I wanted a teeny tiny dog as she made no guarantees of size. I really didn't care about size, and actually hopes she gets a little bigger... she is very short! The vet in our rural area is not very... uhm, how can I put it nicely. He is a very simple vet... he practices alot on large animals as I am in the country where horses and cows outnumber dogs and cats by thousands! I would love to be able to go to a more small animal oriented vet, but they are all so far. I am sure it could be done, but part of me just wants to let it be. I am not 100% sure yet - but I am scared of putting my baby under. I know that when my shih tzu was spayed in my old college town they performed blood tests... I know this may come off as a dumb question, but I was young back then and never asked what they were for.

dependent on her background and how your breeder breeds.

But, she is right yorkies grow at different rates....and some will stop growing at 6 months of age, but it's very dependent on the lines these yorkies comefrom.

Now as far as will she grow after she comes into Season...that's a crap shoot too. She may very will put on a couple of growth spurts between now and her first birthday...

What I'm actually attempting to say....there is no guarantee with these breed. Don't worry if she doesn't grow.....When it really comes time to spay her....make sure you have had an in depth conversation with your vet...find out what type of anesthetic he uses, make sure she has blood tests before....take all the precautions that are necessary.
