for all of you with the couch diggers. Tigger did/sometimes does this as well. What my boyfriend and I do is give him his own blanket and when he starts digging on the couch(we have a leather L shaped couch) we tell him "NO DIG!!" in a firm voice and if that doesn't work we clap our hands and repeat "NO DIG!!" and then we get a hold of him and give him his blanket and tell him "DIG BLANKET." I like to call this the "making the bed" routine Because he will still continue to dig, but at least it's on his own turf and not ruining yours. Using a water spray bottle is also a good way to prevent it (just make sure it has never had chemicals in it prior.)

You can also get a soda can and put coins in it tape over the opening on top and shake it whenever he digs and say "NO DIG!!" This should startle them enough for you to get their attention to something else.

You may also want to try whenever your dog begins to dig giving it a toy instead. Best of Luck
