This was my first profession 20 yrs. ago..gee it was that long ago?? haha! I really loved it and it was before you needed to be certified to be a vet tech. I worked both front and back. So I got to experince both jobs..dealing with clients and assisting in surgeries and grooming and boarding. I absolutely loved the vet I worked for and that made all the difference in the world. When I moved out of state, I worked for some other clinics and hated it! The front office can be very, very stressful. You want to be in a place where the whole staff works as a team! very important for your sanity. If it turns out you don't love it and it isn't what you thought it was..don't give up..try another Vet. I am an esthetician now and I sometimes think about going back to working with animals. Wishing you the very best!! and don't forget to smile..
