Sorry i hijacked this thread but the more I am reading on YT the more it seems that a breeder cannot tell if a puppy will be small or not but the price seems to be higher if they are small at 9 weeks. I am just curious. Thanks
He was small untill about 4 months and then he has grown every month since. We just took him to the vet and he was 8lbs and so at 11 months he gained a lb. His parents were in the 5 and 6 lb range and the breeder told me he would be about 5lbs. You just never know what weight they are gonna turn out. My female was a small 12 oz when I brought her home at 8 weeks. Alot of people on here I have read had pups that size and they are 3 lbs at adulthood. The weight chart even had her at 3lbs. She is 5lbs. Both My dogs were tiny puppies that really grew past weight chart calculations.
