The first time I moved with my maltese - to a new apartment in a new state - I got the same complaint from my next door neighbor. He was never a barker; but did not like being left alone in a strange place.
I'm not saying this is the answer; but I called my Vet back home and he mailed me some pills to calm him down for just a few days.
Yes, I felt guilty because they made him sleepy. But it did do the trick and after about 3 days I quit using them and had no more complaints.
It's an awful feeling to move to a brand new place and then feel like all your neighbors hate you! I came home to a note on my door and just burst into tears. Anyway, things got better. |
