Thanks for that encouragement. He loves my cocker (Chauncey) most of all. And I'm excited for Chauncey to have a friend of similar age. My other dog is a 14 yr old longhaired chi. He's a little too much for her.

The whole hurricane has been a pet nightmare for me. I turned my animals (3 dogs, 2 cats) to the SPCA under duress when I evacuated, 10 days after the storm. Well, my cats are now in foster homes in CA. My Sadielove (rat terrier mix) was hit by a car and killed the second day I got her. At least I still had Chauncey & Chichi. I was evacuated and dropped in Belleville, Ill...$700 to get back, once I got out of the hospital for dehydration and chest pains. And I had a place to stay in the same city as the pet shelter to which my animals were taken, but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...I ended up in BFIllinois.

It's been an ordeal.
