As far as I know, he has not been tested for liver shunt (he's a rescue). We did not do extensive testing when he was sick last summer, as it seemed to clear up on it's own within days. I will talk to the vet about getting Bile acid tests done, just for peace of mind. If he continues to be sick, we'll get it done sooner rather than later.

I can't see lactose intolerance as being a problem, as he has been getting 2 spoonfuls of yogurt a day since August and hasn't thrown up at all until now - he also used to have very loose stools, which got much better after the food switch and yogurt added into his diet.

I don't want to put him through extensive testing if it gets better, but I will do the bile acid test for sure, as if he does have a shunt we need to take action before it gets worse. Would a dog with a shunt be fine for 8 months tho and then start vomiting again? He's been 100% healthy since August.
