one of my favorite quotes....

seriously, in a perfect world, we could always be nice, but it's not a perfect world.

as a mother of two young children - it amazes me when i hear stories like this of parents letting their kids do things like this. i've also had kids kick the back of my seat at a restaurant for an entire hour while the parents said nothing - some people are just ignorant and have no business reproducing.

just say NO! if the parents aren't going to speak up to their own kids then they definitely aren't going to say anything to you! i've been in situations where other kids were doing inappropriate things to my own children, and after waiting for the parents to do something, i would speak up and say, "NO, you can't do that. that's not nice."

stand your ground cus nobody else will do it for you! in my opinion, THEY are the ones not being polite so don't worry yourself with returning the favor!
I agree. I am a mother of three 19, 16 and 10 and I always would say from the time they were like 2 * Don't Touch * and of course they didn't . Just like by the time they were 3 they were saying please and thank you. I would never let my children pet a dog without asking let alone pick one up
I am sure these kids only want to hug and kiss and are so taking with your baby, but as a mom she should step in and stop it and always ask if it is ok to pet any animal/ I don't know people are strange I guess. I think simple manners are the first thing most people should teach their children, I did.
