My vet & grooming bills far exceeded what it would have cost me to buy a puppy from a reputable breeder. Which is why I'm always worried when people look to just buy the cheapest puppy they can find because it can come out costing them a lot more in the long run with the short cuts that a lot of BYB breeders take to breed.
I would never support BYB or puppy mills and I hope we can save as many people as possible from doing it!
I don't disagree that many have bought from these type of breeders before they knew better, but there is a difference in NOT knowing and knowing and supporting a BYB anyway! |
I see you been posting that you "rescued" Camden a lot lately.
at the time You really didnt rescue her, I told you about her and that the breeder was selling her cheap and I know you would give her a wonderful home and you did. and I was so happy you got her. But at the time it wasn't rescue for you too thought that the breeder was very nice and met with her at her home. bought Camden with out any contract. so really you too was just buying a cheaper Yorkie. and some times not always but some time with a cheaper yorkie comes vet bills. It was later that we talked and decided she was not a very good breeder. oh she had wonderful lines the best, good healthy dogs. but yes they needed groomed.and I know the eye infection you talk about is/ was caused because she her self while brushing her scratched her eye. Im not defending this breeder or bashing her. while she feed her dogs the best foods / vitamins / bottled water. she still didnt keep them in like most of us here on YT do. and to me yes they needed a better life, but Camden wasn't going to a rescue she was selling her. Im the one who talked her into letting those older male/females go to rescue when she said she was done breeding because I was concerned where they would end up as you were too. so I know you now feel that you rescued her and Im so happy you do have her. but there's many here thats doing the same thing buying cheaper Yorkies and thinking they are getting a great deal while like I said before that some times also means vet bills. but you were lucky the eye infection, worms, matted hair is all easy to treat. there are many out there buy really sick Yorkies.
