Actually one of my dogs that people love the most is a tiny chihuahua that was the runt of the litter. She weighs 2 1/2 lbs grown and a "Hobby" breeder gave her to me free. She didn't try to gouge me for $1500.00 for a "teacup". She wanted her to have a good home with someone familiar with the breed and she told me to take her home and take care of her.
I stand by the fact that some really nice dogs can come from a pet breeder and that there are many nice people that have done this. There are also a lot of losers but I have met "reputable breeders" that I don't like or trust either.
I just can't pigeon hole every single person with a wave of my hand even if I am very judgemental. |
I've always said, you buy your breeder first, then your dog.....then you do a lot of reference calling.....
