I'd check with the vets office or Petsmart, you only need to go in for nail trims about every month and half to two months; you don't need a complete grooming. I've tried the Pedi-paws and safety dog nail clippers, and I prefer taking him into someone who knows what they are doing. Walking on concrete helps file the nails down, so lots of walks help, once your puppy is old enough. Don't let the nails grow too long besides hurting you, long nails cause the structure of the foot to spread, nails should never touch the floor.
