I give it to mine straight from the freezer. Think how great it would feel for a teething puppy. They love it! If I don't freeze it the seem to polish the peanut butter off too quick so this makes the treat last longer...or at least they have to work harder for the treat and entertains them a little longer. Another great thing I like about Kongs is that you can pop them in the dishwasher & get them nice and clean, I do run mine thru the dishwasher a couple of times a week! Normally they are excited and run to the their spot on the sofa and wait for me to leave each morning. If it's been hectic and I forgot to fix them a kong the night before you should see the look of dissapointment when on that rare morning they don't get a kong.
