yeah i just do not trust that test as much as the scintigraphy now and it has not been around that long that i am aware of and if a dog is going to go to surgery i would want the most accurate test for that and scintigraphy is the best for determine shunts even over ultrasound as well. I have seen also a dog on here that scintigraphy was positive for shunt and the dog did not have a shunt and tobias did the surgery and spay and i believe she did the scintigraphy but i do think that test is more accurate as they send a dye capsule through to see if it bypasses the liver so you are correct not all tests are 100% accurate as there are so many variables

all we can do is try to invest our money in the ones we feel are going to give us the most answers.
