I've never understood the whole when-to-turn-your-AC-on debate! Maybe it's because I'm only 25 and it seems that my parents' and grandparents' generations were real sticklers about when the AC comes on. But I do consider myself a penny-pincher. I mean, I'm very careful to turn off lights when I leave a room, I try to conserve my water, and I bargain hunt, etc. But when it comes to being comfortable, I don't care what the DATE is!! If it were 30 degrees in July, I'd have my heater on. And if it is 80 in December, then I'm turning my AC on. (Actually, I think last Thanksgiving I did have my AC on one day b/c it was abnormally hot.)

I figure it doesn't actually cost that much to run the AC for a day (and I'm not talking keeping it at 65). Plus, it's my money and my comfort is important to me!! Especially at night. Soooooooo glad my hubby agrees with me on this or we might have to sleep in different houses or something!!
