Default Excessive peeing?

I'm not sure whether to post this in the sick or training section because I don't know what's wrong.

When I take MuShu out for a walk, the 1st thing he does is pee. He sometimes pees during our mini "hike" and then again when we get in front of my apartment. So when we get back I make sure to go inside right away after he pees outside. Then he comes back inside and I let him play for a while. After 20-30 minutes he pees a HUGE puddle, far away from his pee pad. In about an hour he would pee 3-5 times. (Oh and yesterday there was a 5 hour gap between his pees, which isn't normal for him.)

His pee doesn't have blood in it, but sometimes it's a little on the dark side...

At first I thought this was a potty training issue, but now I'm unsure. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I wanted to clear this up. I've read about UTI's but not completely familiar with them.

So what do you think?
And we are going to the vet for a neuter in a week. Could this wait another week or do you suggest attention ASAP?

P.S. I apologize for the lost post. I tried to summarize it
