I'm really not an expert, but I started mixing in Wellness canned puppy food with Rocco's Wellness puppy kibble about a week after I got him at 8 weeks old. He definitely eats his food better and I think a little bit of wet food is better for his skin and coat. I only put about a teaspoon into his kibble 2 out of the 3 times a day he is fed. He eats his kibble even without the wet food now, when he didn't before. I do think the most important thing is to NOT keep changing his food and adding things to it...he will eventually realize this is his food and if nothing 'better' comes along, he will make do. And the best part (sound gross), but his poop is consistently firm, compact and easy to clean up!
