I have a bad back too and I admire you for saying you have a limit to how much you can pick up on a continuous basis. I am terrified of ever saying anything about Yorkie weight as it is such a hot poker in the eye subject. I just love the way a 3 lb. Yorkie feels when I bend over and pick it up w/o my back saying "are you freakin kidding me". If I ever get another one.............3 lbs. and I don't care it honks off the Pres.
That's a great idea to have the little one checked by a Vet before bringing it home but you know how we are......If I see it and touch it.......I'm a goner. Maybe the current owner will do it for you and have the results sent to you if you pay for it. Nobody would have a sick baby to care for and pour money into if they had a choice. It would be heart breaking in so many ways. I wish you the best of luck and thank you for your honesty. My "old grey mare" back is teaching me limitations everyday. But hey! I'm still on the right side of the grass!
