If I were you I would go for it. This just may be the rescue pup for you. I'm not an expert, but from what I know pups at 10 mos usually don't get much bigger. You could even take her to get a Vet check before you decide. While at the groomers, A 2 year old 3 lb yorkie named Squirt came in. She was the sweetest little thing. The girl just carried her under her arm. If the pup checks out with a excellent Vet check, you should take her. That's my opinion...Good Luck
