some people are more sensitive to smells than others - i don't like the smell, but i don't think it's really abnormal - i've always thought dogs smell. when it rains, i've often stepped outside and said it smells like a "wet dog."
my puppy has the "wet dog" smell after i bathe her (of course) but after she dries smells much better...but still mild wet doggy smell. |
Gotcha, I thought you were referring to a yorkie. Ok then heres a little trick I use and it works great. When you bath your pup take a pitcher of warm water and pour the normal amt of doggy shampoo that you would use into the pitcher of water and add a small amt of baking soda to the pitcher. Pour the mixture over the dog , shampoo and rinse and you will notice a huge diff in that wet dog smell. Do not get into eyes.
