This is a little late, but I just remembered it.
One time when Muffin was sick and wouldn't eat, I had boiled some chicken, but she wouldn't eat that either. So I fed her broth from the chicken from a dropper or syringe. She liked it, too. I could tell it tasted good to her, because the poor little thing was hungry. Some antibiotics that she had been given had really messed up her little tummy or intestines. I don't know which. Anyway, it wasn't long before she was at least able to eat some of the chicken and then back to her regular food.
Also, I think you can get baby food into the syringe. I know many, many years ago I fed baby food with a dropper to my very elderly chihuahua.
