I work for a very well known transportation company. The reason they ask the service the animal provides is to let them know if you are trying to bring a pet on board. Believe me .. I am in 100% support of service animals , but a lot of people try to use it to bring a pet or escape a fee.
I am sure you are legit , but transportation has seen to many pets that actually destroy equipment or cause a disruption.
It is sad that people with true service animals have to be treated this way because there are so many scammers out there.
