My husband is a cop and he bought me a hand held devise that is usually used to stop dogs barking but we tried it on the neighbors dogs when they were'nt looking and it hurts their ears and they back away. I will be carrying this with me. They also make a dog spray like pepper spray (mace) that works on dogs. The mace police on people doesn't work on dogs. We have an 85 pound Lab that I've thought about taking walking with us but then there is a chance of a dog fight as he is very protective of me and his "sister". The one bad thing about kicking at big dogs is that if you kick out and they get ahold of your leg they could pull you down. My husband says dogs that are trying to attack like that need to be reported and the owner named. There are leash laws almost everywhere and leash or no leash, owners are responsible for the control of their dogs. My husband says you can also buy small stun guns that fit in your hand. They can protect both you and your little ones. |
Well that's just great, so Ive been walking unprotected all these years. Well I guess I'd better switch. What about wasp spray. Ive been hearing about using it instead of pepper spray because it shoots further.
