As horrible as this might sound, I bet I'd do the same thing. I'd grab Kaji with one arm, hold him over my head and scream my head off for help. If no help came and I was being overwhelmed by two dogs, I too would kick them away. It's not something that I would want to do, but in the moment I'm sure I'd react before thinking. I know Kaji thinks he's a German Shepherd, but the reality is he isn't and a big dog could rip him apart if they wanted to. We have yet to run into a mean big dog, and I allow for him to socialize with big dogs. He loves it. I think it's pretty easy to tell when a dog is being friendly, whether big or small, or when a dog is aggressive. I had to hold Kaji up over my head once and the "attackers" were two medium/small dogs. (my guess is they were no bigger than 30 lbs) The whole time the owner watch and passively told them to stop. I just kept walking with Kaji over my head until I got out of the little dog area of that doggy park.
