Elaiine, that is so great you're parrot and yorkeis get along. I can trust my dogs not to approach Bonito, but not my foster dogs. LOL....my dogs are somewhat afraiid of him.
Bonito does get a lot of time out of his house (cage, we try not to refer to it as such), our patio is screened in and on nice days, he gets to fly and stretch his wings.
We got Bonito at 5-6 weeks and had to hand feed him....which was great, as he doesn't know he is a bird either.
