I had 6 sons and washed more crib sheet protector's than I even care to think about, so that's my major reason of my disinterest in using them for dogs. I don't like having to spend the extra money on water and electric to wash things like that, and I definitely don't want to travel with something like that in the motor home or motel. For me, it's so much cleaner to use tissue to take off the poop to flush and then just throw the soiled pad away.
