Some of you may remember, last week I posted about my teapot Halo. She started out vomitting then refused to eat anything for a whole week. Vet was trying different meds, giving her fluids and nothing!
Finally, when I took her in on Friday (for more fluids) we discovered a tick that was almost embedded on her tummy!
I really don't know how long it had been there, because of her hair it looked like one of her little boobies. What caught my eye was the reddnes...terribly red all around it. Vet got the tick, changed her meds to Doxycycline and a low dose cortisone and she is SOOO much better now. He's convinced it was all caused from the tick. He'll treat her with these meds till he's sure she's ok. Don't have a clue where it came from, I faithfully use Comfortis every month. Watch your babies, they are so precious and I hated seeing her so sick, I suffered right along with her.
