Also another question. She has produced little sores around her vulva since she was breed. My female and the male I bred her with has never been bred before. Can dogs catch anything from another dog, even if they had never bred with another dog before. Any knowlegde would be appreciated. Thanks |
Was the 14th from showing color?
I'm sure you know just because the girl is receptive to a stud on a certain day and you've bred her, isn't necessarily that day she concieves. She may also ovulate before she is willing to accept the male. So, one has nothing to do with the other.
There are a couple of ways to determine when she is ovulating.....Ovulation testing by your veterinarian is the key to determining the correct breeding time.
There is a device developed in Poland, called an Ovulation Detector. The device is extremely accurate. Tests the vaginal secretions and tells you when ovulation is near, when the exact day to breed is, whether or not it's a false heat, etc. But, it's pretty pricey
