OK, I will try the water. I took it up last night. Had pee still beside the box but I did see Lily peeing on the lino with her paws on the litter box yesterday afternoon. I think it is both of them doing it. If I put pads down everywhere they will shred them. What is it about shredding paper that they likse so much anyway
They go to bed at 8:00 so it is more than 7 hours till morning. Will have to see what I can do.
