Do not take her out until she is FULLY VACCINATED! You may want to wait 2 weeks after that incase it is the last shot that will provide immunity. I live in Texas and we have tons of stray dogs all over our property as well as possums which carry rabies and leptospirosis which can be transmitted to dogs. Hawks and owls are also out there! The #1 culprit will be dogs that have been in the area. I was suprised at how many people do not vaccinate their dogs... and a dog can have a case of parvo and still be roaming around. Chloe is 20 weeks and fully vaccinated for 8 days and has still not been outside (she ran outside once and I freaked)... I know it's hard, but this has been my rule of thumb with all my dogs and it has always worked...

I AM SO GLAD THAT YOUR BABY HAS MADE A FULL RECOVERY! I HAVE A FRIEND THAT GOT HER YORKIE AT 6 WEEKS... HE WAS HOSPITALIZED NUMEROUS TIMES WITH DEHYDRATION, HYPOGLYCEMIA and MORE...
