I understand completely your fear. It's something we all deal with no matter what size our little one's are. What you need to do is set aside your fear and think of the well-being of your little yorkie. How much does she weigh? Vainchick has a 2 pounder and she did fine when she was spayed. Mine was spayed on October 21st and it was a day surgery. I took her in that morning and brought her home in the evening. She had internal stitches. No need for removal later...They are tougher than we are. That's why I say it's harder on us than it is on them. I wouldn't be afraid of the humane society at all. These people are vet's. They are experienced and do a great job. Marie took her little one to a mobile van and hers came out fine, too.

If you have any questions, I'll try my best to answer them for you. As far as the risk of infection, that is just that...a risk of any surgery, but I have never known of any to ever have one.
