Also, when I was a landlord our leases were renewed per year. If, our condo fees went up during the middle of the lease, we did not change our contract and re-write a new one, we just would add the charges upon renewal of the lease and always let the tenant know in writing what the changes would be. |
Sounds like you were a good landlord! Fair and efficient. I still think your DD runs a risk by not being an add in. God knows the drama my old roomie put me through because of what she said in the morning, then talked to her mom (who always got into her head) and then she came down on me hard by night time before going next door to sleep in bf's bed.

All because I wasn't on the lease. For months she was ok with me getting a dog, was excited that I was finally getting one, and about a week after Kaji arrived she freaked out on me. (almost wanting to kick me out)
It sounds like the kids are getting into the land lady's head. My dad's boss (landlord to 2 apt buildings my dad manages) tries to pull crap like that but my dad always reminds her of the laws. So... she pulls crap on him instead! She always threatens to pay him less and give him less hours because "she can't afford it" and then we counter with less money, less work and list all the responsibilities she should be doing that she makes my dad do and then all of a sudden she'd lose money if she let him go. Why? because her 40 and 50 year old daughters still like to spend mommy's money.
