As long as your pup is on the antibiotic, for coccidia, the diarreah and vomiting will stop in about 3 or 4 days, but use the meds for the full 10 days...Main thing is to keep their blood sugar up w/a little bit of karo or nutracal 2 or 3 times a day (only about 1/8 tsp.), if the pup has stopped eating...It's true, that healthy adult dogs won't usually get coccidia, and the advice about cleaning up, right after your pup poops is important...After you pick up poop, I'd wipe over w/vinegar water...Your pup, probably, won't feel good for about 10 or two weeks, but then should be all back to normal.... |
