Thanks Dara. She is licking that area quite a bit. I just picked her up and looked at her again and I do see a little blood now. I didn't get her until she was 13 mos. old. When I got my girls they were quite a bit underweight and I wanted to make sure they were healthy enough to go through the procedure. Then they both got sick a few weeks later with tonsillitis because of their baby teeth and then had to have surgery to remove their baby teeth. All of this in just a couple months. They are just now starting to really look and act really healthy. They only go outside with me and my husband and they are always on a leash and harness. (We have a big house so they have plenty of room to run and play!) So, I really don't worry about other dogs getting to them. However I did read something on here about an infection that they can get in the uterus from not being spayed and that does worry me. I am going to call the vet today. |
